Ale za caly system 5+
This app is still so much better than the new one.
I can’t get out of the “download the Sonos S2 app” thing
This app used to work as did my SonosOne. Now my Sonos one does not work and this app does not work nor does the new Sonos app they send you to. None of it works anymore.
Old bugs seem to be fixed and version as of 19Mar25 is working well
Every time I open the app either one or more of my speakers can’t be found. Too often it just stops playing music. If I have a group playing one of the speakers might switch and start playing something else. The app used to be way better
I will not be buying any Sonos products again. They have broken faith with those of us who were early adopters. We all hate Sonos now.
It’s like the spinning wheel of “Will My Speaker Work.” Spoiler alert: more often than not, it doesn’t.
Sonos could not possibly make this worse.
I guess sonos just want to make even more clear they do not want people using their products, message received, done with sonos
This app is the worst. It goes out all the time.
When ever I’m trying to add two Sonos speakers it send me to the new app, and the. On the new app says the speakers are only available on Sonos S1!!! 😡😡😡
It won’t open. Just keeps saying Download S2. Seriously this takes planned obsolescence to a whole new level. Our system isn’t even that old!? We bought it in 2021. Probably my LAST Sonos purchase.
I’ve never felt such disappointment in a company like Sonos now; for the S1 controller to still continuously have the same issues year after year is disappointing.
Every time I have to update the sw for the speakers, they won’t reconnect. I have to continually mess with the settings and unplug, plug in the speakers. Ridiculous!
I recently downloaded the Sonos S1 controller because my previous Sonos app no longer would work with my older Sonos speakers. Since then, it only recognizes my family room speakers, but not my master bedroom. When I try to look for a missing product, the app tells me I have to download the latest version of the app which I just redownloaded. He constantly goes in this loop so I cannot connect my master bedroom.. Very disappointed with Sonos.
Unfortunately, Sonos completely failed at updating the app (look up why their CEO left the company). The good news is that they have brought back the old app, which simply just works. Download this legacy version and avoid the new app/software at all costs.
Will never EVER buy another Sonos product!
Works with my android Samsung but can’t find my system on my girls apple 14? Anybody know why? Is it an apple issue?
I can’t use the bar, home theater system, or Sonos setup to control my entire house! I purchased these in 2013-2014. I own several speakers, but I cannot use them because the bridge isn’t functioning, and the app is unable to connect to any of the speakers. I have wasted two hours trying to find a solution!
I understand no new features will be delivered to the ones that decided (or needed) to stay on S1 after your shady business strategy decisions, but removing existing features and breaking a good working app on top of that… that’s lame.
This update killed all the speakers it previously supported now they are expensive paper weights- roll this update back - was working just fine previously
We love our Sono’s system! We’ve had our system for 20 years and now have a small speaker in every room in the house including under the covered patio and in the garage. We started putting the music on first thing in the morning and allow it to play all day- when we leave and come back it’s a great vibe in the house, our dogs love it and it’s a mood boost. You can build your own channels or add to existing ones. We like a different station by the pool/patio from the house, maybe husband likes to rock in the garage and I’m into Indie in the house - can’t say enough good things about our Sono’s.
The constant updates that require this system to be reconnected and reconfigured makes me so unhappy with Sonos and all of your products. The fact that you cannot update the software without completely sending the equipment and connection into a tailspin should be embarrassing to your company. I keep a JBL speaker right next to my Sonos so when you send an update I can take a day and enjoy music without having to deal with the frustration of your product. The only reason I do deal with your incompetence with software is because I have invested too much in your hardware. As it ages I will retire it probably at the same time as you are out of business because of this incompetence.
For being one of the first companies for whole home Bluetooth. I first bought your system back in 2012. And have upgraded things throughout the years. The last few years you have sucked- won’t connect to the WiFi at times. If it does connect the app is a dinosaur. Music cuts in and out. Pure garbage. Makes me wonder if you have any developers on staff? And if you- well, as a developer you should be ashamed of yourself for allowing such a poor quality product. Do you have no pride on wanting to have an inferior product? Or just continue watching you be like blockbuster and eventually your company will be shut down because sooo much better products are out there now. It drives me nuts to see me trying to turn on over $2000 worth of equipment for it to just sit and laugh at me as it won’t play anything. Do better -
Sonos gate keeps music off the app, ex. KPIG Streaming Radio. Hey, just provide the hardware! Notwithstanding, Sonos’ updates usually require effort to reconnect speakers, but gate keeping is too much, I just bought different blue tooth speakers. No KPIG radio, no Sonos.
Don’t bother upgrading to the s2. That version is junk, slow, missing functions. Stick with s1 or downgrade if you can.
Ashamed and embarrassed to have wasted so much money on a company that ignores the consumer over and over again. They’ve ruined the app, they’ve ignored 18 months of 1 star reviews, and the quality of the system continues in a downward spiral. Such an expensive system, and 6 years later it’s all but useless. They wouldn’t take these speakers back at a goodwill and look at us now. Used to be room to room top of the line luxury wireless system. Now I can’t set an alarm or search an album. Of all the subscription based services in the U.S. SONOS can’t even recognize Apple Music, it’s sickening. So much money and time wasted on a “high-end” sound system and the only updates we get are SIRIUS XM? Or whatever it is, SIRIUS probably costs too much for exec bonuses. What a waste, the speakers are so good but the company is so bad.
This app still does. It work well for me. Songs will refuse to play from Spotify. Deleted items still remain. Still unable to build a playlist sourcing multiple platforms in to one list. The old app was way better. This app is so confusing to use. Sonos help, Reddit and google had no answers for my questions.
Pairing actually works. Volume actually works. Doesn’t take multiple seconds to load. Can browse my music. All the things you take for granted that just go poof! when you “upgrade” to S2. Thank you for giving me the ability to downgrade!
Used to be so good. Now I can’t get any of it to work.
Doesn't work with my s1 hardware. Just keeps telling me to use s2 app. Garbage.
Awful software
Seriously terrible software updates. Not sure what has happened to what use to be a great music platform. So unstable - constant lousy updates. Endless connection issues - horrendous software team. Been patient but man this is getting old
I haven’t once been able to get onto the app without having any issues. I spend at least 5 minutes trying to get connected to the device even if I did just a minute earlier. All of my devices have different apps so instead of having one app I have multiple for the same system. Also, when the alarm function was on the app I set a couple alarms but then the ability to turn them off is gone now that they took the function away so I have to leave my speaker unplugged.
It’s been about a week and true to form, I have to reinstall the app. Every 1-2 weeks. Is a horrible app and experience
Ever since the most recent version of this app came out my entire Sonos system has been absolutely worthless. It is infinitely slower than the old app and less than half as useful. I have spent thousands of dollars on speakers that are now more annoying to use than a simple Bluetooth speaker on my countertop.
Not sure what changed but trying to authorize SoundCloud now is an endless loop of failure. Maybe a bug fix needed? App wants SoundCloud to authorize, then we authorize successfully and then Sonos says still can’t browse SoundCloud and wants to reauthorize.
This APP no longer works on my iPhone but does work on my iPad.
I have an older system which I brought from another house. Just downloaded this app. Got many errors until I succeeded in updating the software in the Bridge BR100 (which was always a bad idea, but it worked well for a while). Now the app can find my speakers but fails to add them to the system no many different ways I tried. And the support phone says “25 minutes wait time”. Shucks.
Latest update renders all music services unusable. This experience keeps getting worse. So much invested, what a waste.
I’ve been a Sonos customer for years. I’m done. It works, then it doesn’t. Change apps, try this and that, worst experience ever!! Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere..
Worked for a year or so. It still works with hardwire to TV, but can’t connect to it via app. App is poorly designed. Eventually tried resetting the app. Now it won’t find the Beam at all. So useless-can’t play music on it at all. Just a cheap TV soundbar at this point for not so cheap of a price. Sound quality is fine but not great. I won’t be buying Sonos in the future.
I know that the components aren’t the latest, but they’d all been working well, and we could control them from iPhones and iPads. After this latest update the app keeps losing connections to Sonos devices (they appear and then disappear) and the control is laggy and flaky.
Older products continue to drop in/out. Saved music don’t always play. I invested a lot of money (quite some time ago). I wish I’d stayed with hardwired direct-play music.
It never works right
Sonos keeps forcing us to update but the app keeps getting worse. If you are in a search you can’t change rooms without going all the way back out to get to “your system” the icons along the bottom were much better in older versions. You could quickly get to what you needed. It has also become very slow and unresponsive. It freezes so I have to restart the app. Changing volume or skipping a song takes forever. The displayed song is way behind. They need to get rid of the fluff and make it fast and reliable again!
I finally got my Sonos working again. Then the power went out at my house. I’ve spent a half hour unplugging and plugging things in, still no luck. Sometimes the same thing happens when there’s an update.
My experience with the Sonos and the controller is absolutely awful. I just spend an hour trying to connect it to the router and there’s absolutely no way I can make these speakers work. I’ve tried everything above and beyond and the speakers keep they keep disconnecting in the last couple of months. They’re a real problem and I’m not sure if I need to sell them or just throw them very much, disappointed very much, especially that this is an expensive equipment
I have been an Sonos user since 2005 and still have many of rhe old systems which is remarkable that they are still supported in this era of planned obsolescence. However, this is for the devs. The s1 app ui freezes when the screen goes off, you cant change the volume. You have to shutdown the app and restart it. Simple fix, been doing this for two years.
