Sonos S1 Controller App Reviews

I am a huge audiophile. Huge. Really huge. The only issue is I have not really had the funds yet to purchase the high end speakers on the market. I always used to see SONOS and its reviews and always wanted it. The price range was not too bad either. The first day I installed my SONOS player, I was astounded by the sound quality, user friendliness, GUI, material quality and the price. SONOS changed the game for ever. I think SONOS is just changing the speaker market the way Bluetooth replaced infrared. From EQ to TV stream to streaming any song in this planet and possibly more. This is it. The apps just magnify its greatness. SONOS is it.

Love this app/product, and will continue to add sonos speakers to my home stereo system. Connectivity may be difficult at times, but just be patient. 10/10

The speakers sound great. Grouping them together even better. Had a little difficulty setting up a couple of them but the tech I spoke with walked me through and they work great. Very polite and professional. Will definitely purchase additional speakers

Love all of my sonos products and app. Only thing I would change is integrating iTunes. Currently only lets you play "music on this device"

The app works as intended, the design and user interface feel more like something out of Windows 98. Each music service profile is far from appealing to use. The hardware (speakers) are great. SONOS need to enable a more native operation that allows me to jump tracks or adjust volume without opening the app each time. Overall the app is tiresome but functions ok.

Great system and easy to setup

Much better than the Harmon Kardon system I bought on the first go-around! More music services than you can possibly listen to, plus Apple Music and Amazon Prime music. Easy to use! I started with one Play 3 and am now the proud owner of 4 Play 3s and 1 Play 1. Very impressed!

Magic little app that works on all my devices!

Ive gone through 2-3 systems for listening to music and Sonos beats them all, hands down. So simple to use and all your music and music apps stream flawlessly to the speakers. If a friend drops by and has a smartphone loaded with his music, he simply downloads the free app and were listening to his music in a flash. Get Sonos, you wont be disappointed!!

No other is even close. So functional and flawless. Love it.

App and products seem to always work and work well. No really complaints. Would love to see the ability to stream to the device inside a native app but otherwise its flawless.

Best sound system in the market!

The Sonos system was introduced to me when I built a new house. I was a skeptic until I heard the speakers. Wow is about all I could muster up. The sound bar and sub combo fills a room with tremendous sound. The combo provides a nice mix of highs, mids, and low frequencies and provides a very good "presences" of whatever you are listening to. The app take a bit to get accustomed to but it has a quick learning curve. And the music choices, just amazing. They are a bit pricey, but if you got the coin, you wont be disappointed.

Ive been a Sonos user for about four and a half years. I think that Sonos is a great concept. However, Ive come across glitches and connectivity issues with my speaker network on a fairly regular basis. Speakers will randomly disappear from the app or not play music. I desperately wish that I could skip this app altogether and control Sonos straight thru my Spotify app or iTunes desktop without having to jerry rig it through wifi-consuming AirPlay or use an aux cable. The app itself can be a pain. You cant just search for something and get the most relevant results; instead, you have to search by artist/song/album/etc. A VERY annoying aspect of the app is that when you queue something, a notification pops up that says "X has been added to the queue." It wastes my time and is unnecessary! Overall, I think that this app is clumsy and it takes way more effort and brainpower to use than it should.

This app is very popped and I like it a lot and that is a really cool thing to have an app that is so popped and that works very well.

When it works its great and does everything youd want it to. Probably 10% of the time the app cant find my system and I cant connect or I get errors that music was not able to be added to the queue. Super maddening or super great.

The speakers are fantastic -- 5 stars! The app, however, is terrible. To the point of almost being a deal breaker. The interface with Spotify is a disaster. You cannot search your saved albums! For a system that is so well done overall, this is a real jam. Makes it unpleasant to use.

As stated...We do indeed love our Sonos system. With it merged into our whole house audio and a handful of different zones it allows us the flexibility of the same music throughout our house and patio area or different music within each zone. The sound quality on the players is excellent for a system like this...crisp, clear, controllable for your individual preferences. The flexibility on music sources is outstanding as it incorporates not only your personal owned music but allows the user to select from a wide variety of services like Apple, Sirius/XM, Pandora, etc plus Sonos own "stations". This is definitely a well thought out product that is well supported and updated intermittently with new features. We believe it was well worth the investment.
